L-cysteine contains sulfur, which helps maintain protein structure and biological function.³ L-cysteine is also part of the phase II detoxification process that takes place in the liver.⁴ Your body also uses cysteine to produce glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that protects your cells from oxidation.⁵

Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant also involved in the detoxification of toxic compounds.⁶ This formula features an additional boost of glutathione to help inhibit oxidative stress at the cellular level.
