In a triple-blind clinical study, 88 men and women with mild occasional constipation were given either a low dose of B. lactis HN019, a high dose or a placebo. When taken once a day for two weeks those receiving the lower dose of B. lactis HN019 reported a 31% increase in colonic transit time, or (CTT).
